Tidewater fishing
Tidewater fishing means that you are going after salmon in their turnover state. Their instincts are just kicking in, telling them it is time to head up river to their spawning grounds. This is actually a pretty tricky proposition for the angler, because not only will species often mix in the mouths of rivers, but individual fish will all be experiencing different levels of development; one day, a large group may take all sorts of bait, and the next day, no one seems to be interested in biting. There are three different types of fishing that you can engage in in the areas where rivers open up into the ocean; trolling, casting, and using floats and eggs.
